What is involved in the LGV Bootcamp?

  • Practical Training (10 days Cat C+E) & Test
  • Practical Competence CPC Assessment
  • Open to candidates with a Category C licence seeking to upgrade to Category C+E.

URBAN DRIVERS – SUPPORTING THE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF GOODS ACROSS MULTIPLE SECTORS

The Urban Driver Apprenticeship typically takes 12 months to complete and includes “on-programme learning” leading to an assessment for the gateway.

You’ll ensure excellent customer service through sate, accurate deliveries, timely collections, and related services like product advice and installation guidance.

Urban drivers operate in various sectors that rely on road delivery and collection of goods.

What is involved in the
Urban Driver Apprenticeship?

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll receive a clear scheme of work outlining scheduled modules, 1-2-1 reviews, practical training dates, and face-to-face workshops.

On completion you’ll gain the following:

• A Category C Licence
• The Driver CPC Card

It is the company’s policy to employ suitably qualified personnel in line with our Goods Vehicle Safety Policy and Road Haulage Safety Code of Practice. Terms of Employment

This section outlines key terms which will be relevant to you should your application be successful. These terms of employment are also included in your Contract of Employment which will be issued to you on commencement of your employment with Chamberlain Transport Limited.

  1. New employees will serve a probationary period of 3 months. After the satisfactory completion of this period, providing the employee reaches and maintains the required standard, the employment will be confirmed.

  2. The notice period we require from you is at least 2 weeks of intention to terminate employment with the company, once your initial 4 week period of employment has been completed. The notice will not vary with length of service, though both parties may agree more if mutually beneficial to do so.

  3. Chamberlain Transport Limited will give you the following notice to end your employment:
    • Up to 4 weeks employment: NIL
    • 4 weeks to one year’s completed service: 2 weeks
    • Then for each extra year up to a maximum: 1 week per year of service of 12 years.

  4. As part of your employment and our commitment to quality, Chamberlain Transport Limited will provide Driver CPC Training. If your employment ends within 6 months of the date of training, for whatever reason, deductions will be made for Driver CPC Training costs at a rate of £125.00 per day.

  5. Wages will be paid on Thursday of each week following the week worked by Credit Transfer.

  6. Employment will be offered prior to, and subject to, satisfactory references being received.
