Exporting to Europe
The process of moving goods between Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Europe changed on the 1st of January 2021. As the UK no longer must follow EU rules on product standards there are new checks in place and more paperwork required for goods to transit customs. To ensure that you are providing all the required information please use the booking guides and information provided below.
Northern Ireland
We move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland via the Trader Support Scheme (TSS). You will need to sign up to receive a TSS registration number. If you have not already registered for TSS you can register here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/trader-support-service
Please use the guides and information in this section to ensure you are providing all the required information for movements between the UK and Northern Ireland.
Missing or incorrect information is one of the main causes for delays in shipments post-Brexit.
Ireland
Please use the guides and information in this section to ensure you are providing all the required information for movements between the UK and The Republic Of Ireland. Missing or incorrect information is one of the main causes for delays in shipments post-Brexit.
Please also be aware that the ROI also has strict rules regarding products of animal origin and plant-based products, so some goods are no longer able to be sent; or now require Health, Veterinary, or Phytosanitary inspections or certifications. These types of goods are currently unable to be carried by our network. If you are unsure if your goods fall into any of these categories, please check the current advice on the government website here https://www.gov.uk/export-health-certificates?
Please note that packaging for goods to ROI must meet the ISPM15 standards this includes pallets, crates, etc. You can find out more information regarding this by visiting https://www.gov.uk/guidance/import-or-export-wood-packaging-material
